Food for Thought
There is someone who needs help desperately. They are short on money and can’t fully provide for themselves. This person is praying that God will provide a miracle and help them using anyone.
One Christian friend earning a good amount of money says to himself “I will pray for this friend of mine since they haven’t done anything big for me before and hopefully God will provide for them”….
Another says to themself “God has provided for me and I don’t have much but I will help this person just as God has helped me because the Lord is good and has always provided for me. I will give this person some money without expecting anything in return and I will also pray for them”
One has done a good thing for their neighbor and has loved them. The other has greed problems and loves their possessions above their neighbor. Possibly even above God, as he has said: If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. (John 14:23)
What does the Lord declare?
If there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, in any of your towns in your land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brother; but you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks.
Deuteronomy 15:7-8

Don’t be greedy with money. Someone could be praying for help and God may choose to use you to help provide for them. Maybe God intended for both of you to meet paths for the sole purpose of you helping them, Don’t resist to do good. God will provide for those who do his will and seek his righteousness.
